I kept seeing people who were really good at making things but had nowhere to take them.

People who could write, draw, make music, photograph, make films or spend months researching something they genuinely cared about, and still be told that they should probably be doing something more practical.

And the problem wasn't always talent. There were people with plenty of it.

It was finding people. Finding opportunities. Finding money. Finding a place to show the work. Finding someone who actually cared.

A lot of the time, everything existed somewhere else. A workshop here. A grant there. A magazine looking for submissions. Someone looking for a collaborator. Someone making something alone in their room and having no idea who else was doing the same.

Windervale started from that frustration.

We began building it in October 2025. The idea was simple: make one place where independent creatives could actually find each other, discover things worth knowing about, find opportunities and make something together.

Not another platform where everyone has to perform themselves all the time.

Just a place for the work, and the people behind it.

So that's what we're building.
