DISCOVER
A creator presents their project and creative practice.
A future pathway for creators seeking non-repayable support for independent creative work.
A grant is financial support given to help a creator or creative project exist, develop or reach completion.
Unlike an investment, a grant does not give the funder ownership of the work and does not create a revenue-sharing arrangement.
Windervale is building a space where eligible creative projects can eventually be discovered and connected with appropriate grant opportunities.
Where a grant pathway is activated, the applicable grantor and creator will determine the terms of the support.
Windervale does not currently receive, hold or distribute grant money.
Our role is to create a discovery and presentation layer for independent creative work and, when legally and operationally available, connect creators with appropriate funding opportunities.
Any future funding arrangement will be structured so that the identity of the grantor, the creator, the purpose of the grant and the applicable legal and payment requirements are clear.
Windervale does not currently collect grant money.
Grant money is intended to go directly to the eligible creator or project recipient under the applicable arrangement.
Grants are not investments and do not automatically create ownership or revenue-sharing rights.
Each funding arrangement remains subject to applicable Indian law, tax requirements and payment rules.
Future Windervale grant opportunities may be relevant to independent creators working across literature, film, music, visual art, publishing, photography, research and other creative practices.
The applicant should be the creator or be authorised to represent the project.
The project should have a clear creative purpose and identifiable intended use of funds.
Applicants may be asked to provide information about their practice, project, previous work and budget.
Eligibility will depend on the particular grant opportunity and its terms.

When grant applications open, creators may be asked to provide information such as:
What are you making and why?

Existing work relevant to the project.
How much support is required and what it will be used for.
What will exist if the project receives the support it needs.
Windervale is currently not accepting applications for grants or other funding through this page.
We are building the legal, payment and administrative framework required before any funding pathway is activated.
This includes appropriate treatment of domestic and cross-border funding, creator eligibility, documentation, payment flows and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
In particular, foreign contributions to India may be subject to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 and related rules. Windervale will not activate a foreign-funding pathway until the applicable requirements have been reviewed and satisfied.
This page describes a planned Windervale feature and is not a solicitation for funds, donations or investments.
Grant applications are currently closed. Projects will appear here when a lawful and operational grant pathway is activated.
Grant applications are not currently open. Windervale will announce the first opportunity when the system is ready.
