We are not accepting funding applications through Windervale yet.

We are currently working on the legal, operational and payment structure required to make this feature work properly in India and across borders.

We would rather take longer than build something that handles people's money carelessly.

Fund is intended to connect independent creators with people who want to financially support creative work.

The creator remains the recipient of the funding. Windervale is intended to act as the platform through which the opportunity is discovered and presented.

Windervale does not intend to own the work, become the creator's representative, or take ownership of the underlying creative rights simply because a creator is listed here.

POSSIBLE STRUCTURES

GRANTS / SUPPORT

A person, organisation or eligible funding body provides money to a creator without receiving a financial return from the work.

The exact structure, eligibility, tax treatment and cross-border requirements would depend on who is providing the money and where they are located.

REVENUE / RETURN ARRANGEMENTS

Some projects may eventually seek commercial funding where the person providing capital receives an agreed financial return.

This is legally different from a grant or donation and would only be introduced where the structure, documentation, securities, tax and regulatory requirements have been properly established.

Windervale is a creative platform, not a bank, lender, investment adviser, payment intermediary or financial institution.

Any future funding feature will be structured according to the nature of the transaction and the laws and regulations applicable to the creator, funder and transaction.

This may include requirements relating to contracts, taxation, foreign exchange, cross-border transfers, securities or other applicable regulation.

We will not open this feature until the structure has been reviewed and the necessary systems are in place.
